Mindless Eating is a fun book to read. Heavily embedded with data from actual trials, this book will literally change the way you think about your next meal. The author, Brian Wansink is a Food psychologist and revolutionizes our awareness of how much, what, and why we’re eating—often without realizing it. His findings will astound you. I personally found some parts of the book hilarious!

Mindful Eating  is a term that we hear a lot these days. Mindful eating is a skill we all struggle to keep up with amongst all the tempations that we have around us and requires a lot motivation.  This book is a solution to keeping our motivation levels high to make mindful choices.  Drawing on recent research and integrating her experiences as a physician and meditation teacher, Dr. Jan Bays offers a wonderfully clear presentation of what mindfulness is and how it can help with food issues.

Mindful eating is an approach that involves bringing one’s full attention to the process of eating—to all the tastes, smells, thoughts, and feelings that arise during a meal. Whether you are overweight, suffer from an eating disorder, or just want to get more out of life, this book offers a simple tool that can make a remarkable difference.

Becoming Vegetarian is one of my most referred books.  I refer this book for vegetarian recipes ans also to guide my patinets on how to eat healthy, when you chose a vegetarian lifestyle. The strategies in this book are a fantastic guide to transitioning to a vegetarian lifestyle. The recipes includes shopping lists and recipes, plus informative discussion on issues surrounding vegetarianism.

Tell Me What to Eat if I Have Diabetes is an ebook that goes into dept about the basic concepts of diabetes in very simple language. Easy to understand. It is written by Elaine Magee a Registered Dietitian who is also known as “The Recipe Doctor”. The book includes a 10-step plan on how to manage your blood sugars with small practical changes you can make to your diet and lifestyle. There is a section on how to navigate the grocery aisle smartly and even how to make mindful choices when making selections in a restaurant. Ideas for breakfasts and snacks are also included in the book. A must have book for your ebook library.
