Eating Vegetarian The Right Way – A 4 week series

Over the past few years, eating a vegetarian diet has gained popularity for several reasons. The challenge is what foods to choose so you are able to make it sustainable, nutritionally balanced, have variety, be tasty and enjoyable. Questions also often come up about taking supplements.

This comprehensive 4-part series will answer all these questions. Participants will understand the scientific side of vegetarian eating, get some practical ways to make vegetarian choices easily, a vegetarian recipe booklet, and a cooking demo.

This series is not geared towards being Vegan.


PART 1 – Friday July 23rd @ 3:00PM EDT-4:30PM EDT: – The Basics:

  • Learn the science behind vegetarian eating
  • What foods to choose, what portions, substitutes for meats

PART 2 – Saturday July 24th @ 3:00PM EDT-4:30PM EDT: – The Vegetarian Nutrient Balance:

  • Nutrients of concern
  • Discussion around protein
  • Meal ideas to balance the nutrients

PART 3 – Friday August 6th @ 3:00PM-4:30PM EDT: – Eating Mindfully:

  • Understand the basics of mindful eating
  • Making mindful choices with vegetarian foods
  • How to nourish yourself without food

Sleep Stress & Mood

Sleep, stress and mood have an close connections. Sleeping poorly leads to being tired all day, causes irritability and stress and impacts mood. On the other hand having adequate sleep can enhance well-being.

Research also tells us that inidividuals who experience chronic insomnia are at a higher risk of developing mood disorders, such as anxiety or depression.

Regulating your sleep has so many benefits. This session will go into details around the impact of reduced sleep, the stages of sleep, sleep patterns and how all these impact your mood. We will also talk about several strategies on getting your sleep habits under control.

Home Decor with Polymer Clay

Join me for a fun hands on learning series where we will review the materials required to start working with polymer clay. We will also make 2 projects using a variety of finishing materials.

During this 2 Part series you will:

  • Learn the basics of polymer clay art
  • Make handmade coasters using cutters, stencils, & finishing materials
  • Make inchies (1X1 inch squares) using a variety of textures & finishes
  • Use the inchies to make wall art

Please note: This series takes place in 2 Parts. You will need to register for each part individually.  

Each Part will be broken up into two session with a 30 minute break in between.

Tools & Materials: Participants are invited to create along with the Host, or you can choose to watch and purchase materials later to create on your own time.

Mandala Polymer Clay Coasters

Polymer Clay Inchies (4 finishes)

  • Original sculpey oven bake clay – white (Michaels or Walmart)
  • Posca paint markers
  • Micas of varying colours, old eye shadows
  • Black acrylic paint
  • Rub and buff
  • Texture sheets
  • Sculpey silk screen florals
  • Alcohol inks
  • Lace doily
  • Aluminium foil
  • Texture stamp of your choice
  • Old office supplies such as paper clips, binder clips, old pencils or pens. In addition, you could use wooden toothpicks, old necklace chain, screws and bolts, plastic straws and string or cord.

Mindful Eating: Think before you eat

Mindful eating has gained a lot of attention in the past few years. The technique is fairly simple on its own and has just one purpose i.e gain control over your eating habits and not eat mindlessly.

When you eat mindfully it is helpful in managing your weight and makes you FEEL GOOD.

In this workshop we will get into the details about mindful eating and I will share with you some strategies on how to be a mindful eater.

Making the basics of nutrition simple and practical to apply in real life

About this event

Our bodies need a variety of nutrients to function properly and avoid any kind of deficiencies. It has often been seen that people stop eating foods from a specific food group – that results in nutritional deficiencies and other health problems.

This workshop will teach you the basics of nutrition, how to get the nutrition that your body needs with some simple strategies you can easily put into place.
